Singing Masterclass July 18th – 25th of 2024

CANTOstuni. Singing & body awareness masterclass is open to all the singers who wish to deepen their vocal technique and to have a better understanding of their own body – as their main instrument. The courses are going to take place in Ostuni, an idyllic town in South Italy, in which history, tradition, music and art are shaking hands.
Born as an initiative of Don Piero Suma, the main priest of the Ostuni Cathedral, and Angela Sindeli, soprano & singing teacher at the National University of Music Bucharest, the masterclass gathers people from all over the world, animated by their common passion for singing and for classical music.
TEACHERS
The courses will be led by two professionals:
– Angela Sindeli (Romania), soprano & singing teacher
– Andra Demidov (Romania), accompanist, pianist and teacher
Duration & structure
Duration: 18th – 25th of July 2024
Arrival: July, 18th (check-in)
Welcome and start of the masterclass: July,19th (in the morning)
Departure: July, 25th (check-out)
Structure: The classes will take place every morning & afternoon and all the participants will benefit from 45 minutes of singing & accompaniment classes (individual & group lessons). Free time and individual practice will be provided as well. A city tour and a visit to the most representative museums and touristic objectives from Ostuni and in the neighborhood are going to be offered to all the participants.
Number of participants: 12
Passive participants are also welcome. They will benefit from questions & answers sessions by the end of each day.
artistic events
All the participants will have the opportunity to perform at least two times during the masterclass, in one of the most beautiful historic places in Ostuni: The Cathedral, Ostuni Museum (Santa Maria d’Agnano, Le Monacelle) and San Francesco d’Assisi Church.

Certificate of attendance
At the end of the masterclass, all the participants are going to receive a Certificate of attendance.
